It came very well packed and the instructions provided on how to use and install it were excellent. When at it's minimium length the long bar can be extended using the twist action in the middle of the bar at which point the telescopic bar inside slides down to extend the product. When happy with the position simply twist again to tighten. The 360 degree ball joint can be fixed in ANY location with the arm lock at the side. The thread is 1/4 or 6mm and fits everything from a data projector to a smart phone or DLSR camera. The end of the circle piece has a soft material to keep the product in place.
