For years, I struggled with older-designed soft boxes where I had to assemble one spoke at a time, surrounded by various bits, then reverse the procedure just to pack things away, and this often led to unwanted damage. In contrast, this Smallrig is a revelation, having this quick-release system with everything in place. The quality of light is excellent, and I especially like it with the grid attached, which reduces the spread of light beyond the main subject. The secondary diffuser is an important feature not found in the smaller 30cm soft box and became a major driver behind my decision to get this one instead. Are there any negatives?
