I had an accident, a fractured thumb, I feel that it is helping my thumb especially when I'm using my fingers to do things, it keeps my thumb in place. There are 3 velcro straps, one at top of thumb, one to cross over the thumb and one round the wrist. At mid back of thumb there are 2 hard supports which can be removed, either use both or just use one.
