If you're using the white backdrop, it helps to move the exposure/brightness slider up in your camera app so that the background looks bright white, but before the subject looks washed out. Otherwise, your images might look underexposed. It's just the way light metering on any camera operates when trying to take a photo of anything against a predominantly white background. **Q: To turn it off, I have to remove the battery right? There is no on/off switch?** A: Yes, you have to remove the battery to turn off the LED lights. **Q: If i found the lighting to be inadequate, could i add a second led strip easiy?** A: I ordered 2 extra led strips directly from the Foldio website and they are very easy to install. The strips have an adhesive backing so you simply "peel and stick". **Q: Is electricity voltage 110v only** A: This Foldio 1 is actually run off of a 9V battery. But the Foldio 2 plugs into the wall and comes with an international adapter if you are outside of the USA. I had seen ways to make your own at home, but what I appreciate about Foldio is that it is portable. If I want to blog or snap pics of items elsewhere, I have the option to fold this up and go! Set up is fairly easy, watch the video a few times and you will be set. The backdrops are solid as well, similar to foam sheets you see in craft stores and also fold up well within the Foldio without creasing. The row of LED lights are bright and creates even lighting while photographing. Be aware that the lights do reflect on shiny surfaces and you will get the dots on the item you are photographing. The price was worth paying to have the portability of this lightbox. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Nearly Perfect *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2014* The concept is great, but it still seems to be more of a prototype than a finished product. In my experience, the box can be a bit droopy, but you're still able to take decent pictures none-the-less.
