There are 5 in each small ziplock bag. **Q: Will these catch a spark from a ferro rod?** A: Thank you for your question! Making a fire out of sparks can be really tricky.  You’ve got to get the sparks to land on very dry and fluffy tinder. Using a cotton ball with petroleum jelly on it as tinder in most cases will be the easiest way to make a fire. You can also use fluff from plants, dry grass, pine needles, feather stick etc. You can also use manufactured firestarters (some of them) made of compressed sawdust and paraffin, ZEDFIRE Flame Sticks are not an exception. The only thing you should do is to divide 1-2 flame sticks into very small pieces (just melt them in your hand, the smaller they will be - the better). Now, with this setup, when you’re kindling has caught fire from a ferro rod spark, add 1-2 more sticks (in its original shape) to keep fire going. Every stick will provide 7-12 minutes of flame (depends from weather). While doing all the steps above, you should also collect pieces of wood of various sizes from fairly fine, dry twigs to larger pieces that will burn longer. You’ll add these to the fire gradually as it becomes more stable.
