Hello and welcome to this DVD of 20 presentations, each being 3-5 minutes in length. Each story includes a minimum of 4 fingerspelling, 2 role shifts, placement, referent, directional verbs, multi-channel signs, Non manual features, good BSL order, use of space, pace and flow. By watching you will help improve your own presentation for your assessment unit 202. It will also really help your receptive skill. The best way to use the DVD is to watch a story through, and whilst watching try voicing over. Then go back again and watch, this time pausing to write a transcript. When you have done that, compare what you have written with the English transcript on the DVD. Finally watch again and now look for the BSL features used eg, fingerspelling, or roleshift.
