First, I will say what I like about this FG7-7 Collagen Ampoule, because I do like it, even though I will finish on a few criticisms. I really like the size of this bottle, generous as far as serums go at 3.38 fl oz. This will last a while! I really appreciate that. I like the scent of this, it is mild but pleasant, I don't quite know how to describe it because I don't want to offput anyone using the words either "herbal" or "floral" and I can't quite put my finger on what it is, it is neither and both of those, I just find it fresh and pleasant. Not cloying. Just a hint of scent. The texture on the skin is fine, absorbs in well, so well that you definitely will need another moisturizer on top of this (but that is pretty typical for serums, they are just part of the layering of products for skincare. What I DON'T care for about this product, is that the ingredients, upon first opening the bottle are separated, clear liquid with globs of golden looking material. I wouldn't mind that, if they actually gave you some expectation of it being supposed to look like that. But they don't show in the listing any photos of the serum itself. So it was an unsettling first look at the product. ( my photo of the dropper shows this serum unshaken. )I wasn't sure if it was subjected to a temperature it didn't like on it's way to me, or if it was supposed to look like that. Also, nowhere does it say anything like "shake vigorously before using" which is really what it should say here, if that is what it typically needs. If they addressed this aspect at all I would feel perfectly content using it exactly how it is, or shaking it each time to combine better. But here I am with no reference to if this is something to always expect and overlook, or if it signifies a problem with the product. I want them to include more information about what to expect with the consistency and how to apply properly. As it ended up, I shook it all together and it ended up a pale-yellow bubbly looking serum (no longer the clear with gold lumps), and I just am sure to shake it well every time before using. I'm thinking it is probably a great skincare product, and I will use it out fully, but I just want to suggest improvement there on explanation and expectation in regard to what the serum will look like, or how to prepare it before using. I thought about giving this just 3 stars for just "ok" based on my initial impression of it and confusion, but I ended up opting for giving it 4 stars for "good" still because I think it is probably great, it just needs a bit more info given with it.

Serum does wonders for your skin

I'm giving this MAXCLINIC Ampoule five stars because it is one of those great K Beauty serums that just clicked with me the first time I used it. The only thing I disagree with other reviewers about is the fragrance....it is not unpleasant by any means but it is strong and overstays it's welcome a bit too long for my liking, other than that it's a win with me on all frontsI suggest shaking the bottle before use to mix the formula up before applying it. It contains a special FGF 7 Collagen, Ceramides, Hyuralonic Acid and other wonderful ingredients that my dry sensitive skin found to be absolutely delightful. There are a few ways to use this Ampoule as per the website description but I used it as I would any of my other serums. It has a slightly grainy feel that breaks up upon rubbing it with my fingers. It has a heavier than water consistency and a somewhat tacky texture that drys down eventually but I like it because it is very hydrating and leaves my skin very moisturized and silky soft. It got along just fine with my other skin care products and did not cause any irritations. I like how smooth and glowy this Ampoule makes my complexion look and feel. This is a really great company that creates very special high quality skin care. I absolutely recommend this product and think drier skin types like myself will appreciate it as much as I doThe packaging presentation is tasteful and elegant and the gorgeous deep purple bottle, a hard plastic not glass, is beautiful and display worthy. You also get a very generous amount for a more than fair price point. A little is all you need so it will last a long time making it a sound investmentALWAYS do a patch test 24 hours before using any new skin care products
