Review: It is as promised from a renewed excellent - It is really what is promised, I bought it from desertcart as seller and shipper, it was a renewed excellent condition, and it really is. No scratches at all, the phone fully functional and unlocked. The only thing is the battery that is at 85% but that was expected from this condition of renewed. Looks like a brand new phone honestly.
Review: Refurbished = New? For an Apple iPhone? - This is the first time I've felt compelled to write an desertcart review. About two weeks ago I resolved to replace my aging and no longer Apple-supported iPhone 8, a phone I inherited from a past employer. But what do I replace it with? Buy new? Used? Spend major dollars for a new or newish iPhone? I'm used to the iOS system, so Android had little appeal. I was (and am) a babe in the mobile phone woods. I went online searching for that unicorn, a decent iPhone I didn't have to spend a fortune and worry about iOS obsolescence after a couple years. The more I researched the more I saw references to the iPhone SE 3rd gen as that happy compromise -- all the bells and whistles of iOS 18.3 with modern tech throughout at a more than fair price provided it's refurbished (used). But where to buy with some level of confidence I was investing in someone's mistake? I looked at all the usual online suspects, but was now concerned about battery life. A used phone means sub-optimal battery life, right? Then I chanced upon something called 'desertcart Renewed.' I wasn't familiar with this desertcart service. Yet, the more I read, the more I liked what it represented: a confident purchase backed with a 1-year refund or replacement guarantee. Plus, they AR offered the SE 3rd gen at a more than fair price, barely $200 for next day delivery (!) And ... the refurbished grade was 'Premium,' meaning I suppose no major dents, bumps or bruises on the screen and/or case. Maybe even the battery was 85 or 90% of a new one. Imagine my surprise then when I received the phone as promised the next day. In a slick but not too slick presentation box rested my new SE 3G along with a bonus charger and cable. The iPhone floored me. I looked and looked for some sign, any sign really, this unit was pre-owned. I'm not sure what alchemy desertcart uses, but not even a hint of a scratch on the case or screen. How could that be? It looked brand new. But what about the battery? I bet that revealed some use. Not a chance -- battery health registered 100%. I'm beyond delighted. This baby checks all the boxes and then some. If you're thinking iPhone replacement, and like me, you'd rather not spend a fortune on a new model or take your chances in the refurbished market, I can't think of a better solution than desertcart Renewed. It's a 5-star winner in my book.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 86% Battery Health
*by S***Y on October 20, 2026*

This is my second SE. I had a SE 2020 back in the day and it was a good phone until I dropped it in water. This phone came today so I may update this review in time. So far, this phone is of good quality and there aren’t any huge scratches or any noticeable damage. I fairly certain the screen is an after market screen but the touch screen is very receptive, and seems fine. The color is pretty and the white looks really cool with my case. This phone is easy to use. The camera takes good photos. I was looking for a budget iPhone that would update for a good while and this phone is exactly what I was looking for. I am so far happy with my purchase and I hope this phone lasts until it stops updating. I would have put 5 stars but the battery health is only 86%.
