Stapled it on to the wood in one long strip. 2- Protective circles around the base of plants and pots. Cutting a 10-20 cm piece roll to make a loop. Pinned with small sticks ensuring no 'bridges' were made by leaves dangling over the edge, or by pushing the coil beneath the soil surface. 3- Wrapping a small loop made by cutting a 5 cm section around the main stem of larger plants. 4- Sprinkling the tiny pieces left from cutting the mesh amongst areas of seeds. The mesh releases clippings when cut. It is wise to cut over a tray slowly, if it's done too quickly they spring off and could cause small injuries. If using this method keep children and pets away from the sprinkled area as they can be quite sharp. At first the copper is bright and shiny, then mellows into a deep brown that is barely noticable. Really easy to use and cut. It looks like a sleeve as it double, so can be cut open if you want to make it wide. Very flexible material and quit a big roll but worth buying just in case.
