Whilst the college system is daunting initially, if you are unfamiliar with it, you would be better advised to get familiar with the college web pages, where you will find far more. The admissions officers at the colleges generally answer any questions you cannot find there pretty quickly. I thought when buying this book that the timeline would be useful and up to date, but of course any printed work is out of date immediately - it makes no mention of dates for tests such as the BMAT, and even if it had, the dates have changed this year with a new September sitting ('early entry') which would likely have missed the print deadline. There is a useful section of how to choose a college, which frankly still puzzles me a little, even after extensive research, so that's useful. In respect to interviews and testing, you are better getting a dedicated book on the topic, and explore the college websites for how they run interviews, which vary by college. I found that 'Oxbridge Entrance: The Real Rules' was far more useful in terms of explaining how the process works, and how colleges work, but ultimately the universities and colleges themselves are the best place for advice.
