## Overview

Inis is a 2-4 player strategy board game blending area control, card drafting, and modular tile-laying set in Celtic mythology. With 60-90 minutes of playtime, it challenges players to achieve victory through multiple strategic paths while navigating political tension and negotiation rather than pure combat. Designed for ages 14+, Inis offers a highly replayable, elegant experience for fans of deep, tactical gameplay.

## Description

Inis is a highly acclaimed 2-4 player strategy board game that masterfully blends Area Control with a brilliant Card Drafting system, all set within rich Celtic Mythology. Players lead their clans across a constantly expanding, modular board in a competition to be elected the island's King (Brenn). The game challenges players to win through one of three unique conditions, forcing highly strategic, high-tension decisions every round. With its focus on negotiation and clever hand management over dice-rolling combat, Inis offers a deeply satisfying, highly replayable experience for players who appreciate elegance and cunning in their strategy games.

Review: High-class board game - Crazy, complicated, fun board game. One of those that, while my buddy was reading the instructions, I had to grab a cup of coffee…It’s a bit like a combo of risk and Catan. I highly recommend it. A little expensive, it has very nice art and game-pieces.
Review: Excelente juego - Llego en buenas condiciones y el juego es muy bueno

## Features

- CELTIC THEMED AREA CONTROL GAME: Immerse yourself in a beautifully illustrated world of Celtic Mythology and ancient lore as you lead your clans to become the Brenn (King) of the island. This is a highly focused Area Control / Area Majority game where presence and leadership are the keys to victory.
- ELEGANT CARD DRAFTING SYSTEM: The action for every round is determined by a tense Closed Card Drafting phase. Careful selection of the limited action cards is crucial, as you not only shape your own turn but also deny powerful moves to your 2-4 Player rivals.
- MULTIPLE PATHS TO VICTORY: Claim the title of King by fulfilling one of three unique victory conditions: Leadership (controlling territories with enemy clans), Land (presence in multiple territories), or Religion (presence in territories with Sanctuaries). Flexibility and cunning are required to meet your goal while blocking opponents.
- MODULAR EXPLORATION & STRATEGY: The island expands every turn through Modular Tile Laying, creating a unique map every time you play. Build Sanctuaries and Citadels to gain territorial advantages and collect Epic Tales cards that provide powerful, situational, one-time effects.
- LOW-COMBAT, HIGH-TENSION CONFLICT: While battles occur, Inis is not a war game. Combat is deterministic and often avoided; eliminating opponent clans reduces your ability to score a Leadership victory. Conflict becomes a political tool for resource denial and Negotiation rather than pure conquest.
