**Q: Is the corn nixtamiled?  And is it prepared, not necessarily cooked, but with the tip taken out?**
A: The tips are still on the corn.  I soaked overnight, boiled for about 5 minutes, then simmered for about two hours until it bloomed.  I'm not sure if it is "Nixtamiled" as you asked?  Here's what Los Chileros sez on their website.   Our posole, or pozole, is prepared by cooking the corn with lime to remove the outer ‘shell’ of the kernel so that it will “bloom” when it is cooked. The lime is rinsed off after cooking and the posole is air-dried in the traditional manner.

**Q: Can these be sprouted?**
A: No, because it comes ready for pozole. Meaning it  has already been treated with lime. Look for regular( natural) maize.
