Why don’t companies use day numbers exceeding 12.** A: In the uk the date is written like this- . my birthday for example- 21/3/1972. So the 21st day of the 3rd month in the year 1972. Kinda makes sense as it’s going days/months/years. Lowest to highest (kinda). Anyway that is the way they write it in the Heinz bottles. **Q: Can this be used on spotted duck?** A: This is as the name implies a salad dressing. I am not familiar with spotted duck. However I would not use it on spotted dick! If you don't know what this is, it's hard to describe the unique taste. I can't think of a single thing I have eaten in the USA that tastes even close to Salad Cream. For those of us who have had it in Europe, and especially in the UK, there is no substitute.I use it on fries, salads, on it's own on bread, fish, anything really that can be enhanced with a light dressing. The quality remains the same, with healthy ingredients as it's made in Europe. The value for money is a subjective thing: yes, it's more expensive here in America than it is in the UK, but it's a speciality item so in order to have the taste of home, you have to pay for it.
