Also does it relax your hair or texturize it?** A: yes you can apply product yourself. It releases the hair but not as a relaxer. It is used with the wave system. If you have never applied a relaxer yourselfthen go to a salon. **Q: I have a mix of straight and wavy hair. Would this bring out my natural curls?** A: From my own personal use/experience (12 yrs+), this is how it seems to work: Phase 1 chemically straightens your natural curls (not so much "bringing them out" as making them bone-straight, and thus more manageable). Phase 2 allows you to reshape your hair into any type of curls you want- loose, tight, wavy, etc, depending on which type of rollers you use and how you use them. I would recommend that you do not relax your hair for at least 3 months prior to using for best results. It works especially well on non chemically treated hair. It gave me a nice thick waves that I was hoping for with the exception of the front. This was probably because I touch up my edges more than I do the rest of my hair. Very easy to use and then follow up with the cream moisturizer which will provide bounce to your waves or curls without the heavy greasy feeling.
