The diameter is 0.118 inch or 3.0 mm. The stainless steel probe is 5 inch (12.5cm) long and has a spring loaded strain relieve. It comes with a high quality miniature thermocouple connector which has blades made from compensating metal chromel / alumel. The thermocouple plug has a brass strain relieve. The wire has a fiber glass inner insulation and stainless steel outer braid.
