When I found these gauntlets and realised the costume was possible, I pounced.POSITIVES: The price is excellent. They are very sturdy and well-made. They look amazingly good and very, very intimidating.CAVEATS: They are very heavy and very, very pointy , so you'll have to be careful. Some cheap cotton gloves are recommended to wear as liners between your skin and these gauntlets, as the leather parts tend to leach colour after extended wear. They are cumbersome and make all manipulation very clumsy, so don't expect to be texting or repairing watches with these on. They ship with a coating of oil so they won't rust; you might want to clean this film off when you're ready to wear the gauntlets and re-oil them for storage.On the whole, I was absolutely delighted with the quality of these gauntlets, especially for the price they're listed at. After adding a few items I also acquired off Amazon (spiked wristbands, a bolo tie, a mask, white hairspray) with some clothing I already had (black overshirt, white shirt, brown trousers, boots, hand-made badge), I was ready to take my godsons and their father to the nearest comic-con with all of us in costume, and my efforts caused no small amount of comment and interest.Which leaves me with just two things left to say: 1) Yes, these gauntlets are great and well worth the price, and 2) I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME, GADGET!!
