Review: Hard working cleaner - It really cleans well and has a good reach too. Able to navigate our odd shaped pool and even cleans the sides though it is quite random in how it goes about cleaning. It’s easy to wash the filters and operate the machine. Highly recommended.
Review: Great robot, easy to clean and does a great job. - Best robot I've had so far. I've had two others the same type and they lasted about 10-12 years each. This one is a lot better in performance. All robots do a decent job on the floor and sloped sides of a pool. When it comes to the vertical sides and the waterline, that's where you separate the men from the boys. The Dolphin climbs the walls better than the others but then it does something I've never seen in another robot. It turns sideways and runs along the waterline. Sometimes few a few feet and sometimes for 10-15 feet and even turns around the 90 degree corners. The one fault it has on my pool is that it gets stuck on the main drains. I was going to return it but then I found a solution from Polaris. They make a cover for the main drains that allows the robot to glide over the smoothly and still have the drain workin. They weren't cheap but they work perfectly so far. With the cost of the robot and the two drain covers it was still hundreds cheaper then my last robot One additional feature that I really like is that it doesn't allow debris to flow back into your pool when you remove it for cleaning. Great feature. Can't sp-eak about reliability as I've only had it for two months.

**Q: where does the filtered water exit? top or rear? i had a cleaner with a rear exit and it kept disturbing debris on the pool so it never got it very cl**
A: Exits out the top, but this one also just seems to stir up all the algae and debris and not clean very well.  I've run in 4 consecutive times trying to remove dead algae from bottom of pool, and all it does it suck it up and spit it back out the top.  Filters can't contain it.  It also stirs up debris when it slides down the wall to reposition itself, which it does several times The pool looks 10 times worse after the cleaner runs.  Picks up leaves fine, but so does a twenty buck leaf rake!

**Q: Is this cleaner OK to use in either salt water pools and chlorine?  I'm thinking of converting my chlorine pool to salt water next year**
A: Yes. It’ll work in either. “Salt Water” pools are chlorine pools. You add salt and stabilizer and the chlorinater turns it into chlorine. It’s just a lot less chlorine. My pool is this type.

**Q: how many volts?**
A: Inside the water? Its 24V DC , very safe even in a rare event of a short, which i have had, no one can get shocked...

**Q: Does it clean and clime walls and steps?**
A: Ours cleans all but top step of granite-look composite steps, 4x8. Gets stuck for 30 sec., tops, then blasts away & backs-up. Also does vertical waterline of vinyl pool beautifully & climbs walls. Never a dirty pool; we change & wash filters each use, 2 uses if not very dirty. We usually use 2 hr. cycle daily & store it on stand, covered. Pool gets cleaner & cleaner. CRYSTAL clear water at night in light. So happy.

Loved the Dolphin and bought and use the wifi connection. We have a 12 foot deepend pool and 4 ft shallow - 40 feet long, 20 feet wide. It worked amazingly! Pool is spotless. It does take a bit for the Dolphin to do the entire pool. The wall cleaning is really cool with absolutely no problems in climbing. Stairs are ok...sometimes forgets to to the top stair but that's ok. It is pricey but well worth it. Saves a lot of time vacuuming and our pool sparkles.
