I made it using lactose-free, but not non-dairy products, but it can be made using whatever type of non-dairy milk and butter you are comfortable with. If you make it using a non-dairy milk that is sweet, you may not like the taste as much. I saw a couple reviews complaining about the price. I personally think it is very reasonable for a plant based, no dairy product that works for vegans, lactose-free and dairy free diets. Most of the time any specialty foods are much more expensive. As someone who hasn't had the original Kraft mac and cheese for years, it was a fun treat! The Original flavor definitely tastes good and had a great cheesy texture, but it was definitely a bit sweeter and had a slight after taste. The White Cheddar on the other hand had a much more pleasant and less sweet flavor than the original. Texture wise these were both 5 star, but even though they were very good and close to the original Kraft versions, I have had a couple better tasting (and healthier) vegan boxed Mac and Cheese (Modern Table, please make a return!!!). With that said I would definitely buy these again, but I would also say I have to be in the mood for these ones and I hope they look into improving the flavors.
