## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the portafilter holder removable?**
A: Yes the metal part with the holder is removable. The plastic bin in the photo fits in its place for drip coffee. I had to grind down the top of the forks to get them to fit tightly and still fit the assembly in the grinder.

**Q: Can you use this machine to grind beans only without making espresso?**
A: Absolutely - it has macro grind settings from 1-10 and micro grind settings from A-W.  I use ~2 when I grind for espresso and ~9 when I grind to make chemex.  Works great for both and can switch between very easily!

**Q: Does it have a battery backup?**
A: No battery backup, but settings are retained with loss of power.
