I ordered two gym mats for my grandchildren (different colours to avoid confusion!) They arrived on time, and in good condition. The pink one has a light pattern on it, the blue does not. They have a relatively dense foam filling, and seem ideal for the "gymnastics" / "goalkeeping" skills these children like to practice. They can also be combined (one on top of the other / length / sideways) for similar fun, as long as they take turns (only one person on the mats, at any time.) Good for cooperative play / learning gym safety. Probably easier to fold than roll, these mats are good enough to want to store well. Not cheap by any means (!) but a "grandparent" present (for instance) that could be used indoors or out, and that will help children who enjoy this kind of activity to develop some related skills (as well as their confidence, in this area.) Like everything else, though, it should be used safely, and (with young children, especially) be supervised. Worthwhile, if within your budget!

This mat has been perfect for my gymnast mad 12 year old daughter. Perfect for indoors and outdoors and soft and supportive enough to prevent major injury which has given her the confidence to do all sorts of gymnastic moves. The size is just right, not too big that it takes up lots of room but big enough to enable her to do larger moves. Because of the energentic moves she does I personally wouldn't of wanted a smaller one. Delivery was quick and although alarmed at first that it arrived folded in half it soon didn't show it had been. It's light and easy to move around (It also doubles as my exercise mat when she's not around)

This is a great product and has been much used by my daughter (11). We bought it a few months ago and it is withstanding all the abuse it gets very well. My child is always doing hand stands (badly) and falling flat on her back on the mat and it doesn't hurt at all. The only thing is - you do need a big enough room as it's quite big and kids need a bit of a run up to the mat. Have recommended it to my friend for her gymnastics girl

Good thickness and outer cover quality cover.Excellent impact absorption esp for children climbing out of trampoline on to otherwise hard surface - other products too small.Can be used to lie on indoors while performing remedial back exercises.

Bought this for my 11 year old to use at home for handstands and other gym exercises. Lovely bright colour, and nice and thick so she won't hurt herself. Only downside is you cannot fold it but ours is out all the time so it doesn't matter. We had a few problems with delivery but the company sent another one out to avoid further delay so good service.

We bought this mat for Santa to give to our daughter this Christmas. Sadly the Amazon delivery person failed to read or understand my note stuck to the front door... If out please leave with neighbour, thankyou. Oh no, they decided to leave it in a clear polythene wrapper on my front door mat, so not only did they leave £70 worth of gift on full view, they never even bothered to put a card through the letterbox to say that it had been delivered....(probably because it was inaccessible by then!!). So on our return from school at 3.40pm, my daughter couldn't fail to see it, proped up again the front door. With a quizzical look from her as I drove on past the house, abandoned her in the car and moved the mat into the garage...the saga doesn't end there! Bang goes Santa's present...we decide to shuffle up the presents so that my parents can give her the mat and Santa gives her something else, however the mat didn't fit into the boot of my car so had to but it into green bin bags and lay it along the back seat, covered by coats etc. Major hustle!!!So the moral of my review is ..... on this occasion the delivery person got it all wrong, if your buying one for a present they arrive in a clear wrapper, the mat doesn't fit into the boot of an Audi A3 and my daughter says she has the best Grandparents ever, cos she absolutely loves the mat!!

I brought two of these for my 11 year olds birthday. She loves them. They are excellent quality and very large. She puts them end to end and that gives her a great area to use. They arrived very quickly and packed very well and the best thing is, is that they fit on top of each other and slide under her 4ft wide bed which is a great place to store them.

Not quite what I expected (lower quality than the ones we had in school) as it's size is mostly air, the depth of the foam is less than the dimensions of the product suggest. It's very comfortable to use for sit ups or yoga or other low impact exercises but I would baulk at doing a dive forwards roll or headstand! It's bigger than I imagined as well, make sure you have enough space for it. I can't believe how much these things cost, this one was the cheapest largest one I could find on amazon but was still expensive
