I baked them again but this time, I made several back to back batches. The butter in the base of the muffin cups was apparently too hot after 3 batches. The base of the tin look like it is scratched/cracked now. It is still usable though. The reason I can't fault the company for this is because it is probably my mistake. I didn't consider the oil in the butter being super hot.
