In my opinion, and this is just an opinion, these are better for Nerf Rival guns (read balls, not darts), but they obviously work with both. I like the balls because they seem to pass through the targets easier than darts. If you're on the fence about this product I suggest trying it – your kids will be very happy, and, in turn, you will be happy. This is not to suggest I've built a fortress with these tiles, what normal parent would do such a thing? I bought two sets of these for a family nerf war over Father’s Day. It rained so we had to do the Nerf War in the house. But we had so much fun building our forts first! They are super easy to put together (my four year old could do it), they come with connectors to make it sturdy and they cooked with targets you can shoot. The possibilities are endless in how you put it together. We broke up into two teams and it was fun to see how different our forts were! Kids and adults will love these!
