Review: Good Tape - I like this tape. It is not as heavy duty as Super 33 or Super 88 tape, but the price is awesome. I would recommend this as an alternative to cheap generic electrical tape. Our farm has been plagued by cheap electric tape for years. The small increase in price to upgrade to this name brand 3M 1700 tape is well worth the money. It is still priced cheap enough to use on any job. I recommend buying this in bulk and giving all your cheap no name electric tape to your least favorite relatives as Christmas presents.

I like this tape. It is not as heavy duty as Super 33 or Super 88 tape, but the price is awesome. I would recommend this as an alternative to cheap generic electrical tape. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best general purpose electrical tape on the market.

Despite old reviews stating they received other brands of tape, I did in fact receive the item listed. Temflex 1700 tape is a good general purpose tape. It works in a good temperature range (up to 176 degrees F), it is flame retardant and is fine for low voltage insulation. In the past I have used all sorts of brands, and prefer 33+ and my favorite is Super 88. In fact I tend to call all GOOD electrical tape "88 Tape" and anything else "Jap wrap" (horrible of me, I know). However, I work in Fiber Optic outside plant now and only use the tape for binding cables together and binding loops of slack. I don't need the better insulation of 33+ or 88 tape anymore. However, the adhesive that 3M uses is the best. It doesn't sludge off like cheaper foreign tape does leaving a black sticky, greasy residue. It also isn't brittle like other tapes. The 1700 tape is great, low cost, alternative for when you need a general purpose tape with the stretchy characteristics of electrical tape, or minor insulation under 200v. I can buy over 30 rolls of 1700 tape for the cost of 10 rolls of super 88.
