Holds more than enough for a family of 2 and I like a LOT of syrup on my pancakes. There are 4 servings in a pitcher (S/O uses one serving, I use almost 2). Would be great if the handle wasn't hollow, but since syrup is the only thing ever in the pitcher, a good cover with your palm and shake with warm water and rinse is sufficient for us. If you have a large family and they love hot syrup you might want more pitchers (wish I had more for when grands stay over).
