The science here, although in-depth, is not overwhelming and really helps to give a better understanding of what is happeneing inside your kiln. If you want to better understand your pottery, and the changes that take place whilst creating it, you should buy this book. There are good diagrams. I haven't finished it yet because I don't have a lot of time.
