I haven't washed mine yet, only used it a few times on a trip. **Q: Can this be used on a plastic table, Will it burn the plastic?** A: It works well on a plastic table. I use a cheap plastic table from Walmart when I’m at college. No burning. **Q: what kind of inner pads or layers does it have and does it have a layer that will keep it kinda stiff?** A: This has a thin padded layer but I use it on my kitchen counters with no problem at all. I wouldn’t say it is stiff as it does fold up when I am not using it but it does lay flat when used.
