## Overview

The Warlord Games Samurai Starter Army is a premium 28mm scale plastic miniature set featuring 112 intricately detailed figures from Japan’s Sengoku period. Designed for adult tabletop wargamers, it includes a metal-mounted Samurai commander, cavalry, infantry, and missile troops, plus historical materials to deepen your strategic and cultural immersion. Perfect for collectors and gamers seeking authentic, portable, and richly detailed historical armies.

## Description

The Samurai are the almost mythical warrior caste of Japanese history. Their most famous exploits occurred during the Sengoku period between 1467 and 1603. With the Emperor and the Shogun unable to control the many daimyos, there was near constant fighting between the various factions. In these times the Samurai code (Bushido) became more defined and standards of fighting improved. Even the introduction of the musket in 1543 was seen as an opportunity rather than a threat.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Swarms of good minis, metal a disappointment
*by A***7 on 24 February 2025*

Got this box after good experiences with Warlord games. The huge plastic army is a joy, there aren’t really assembly instructions but they are simple enough. The sole metal miniature arrived broken, with no foam or other protection, just a plastic bag inside the main box. Hard to critique one broken mini in a box of 112, but it was a bit of a letdown since that should have been the highlight.
