It shakes a little bit when you do pull ups which will not affect your muscle gains that much, but if you think this is something you don't want, then you may look for pull up bars which are placed on the wall by using drill machine because they will not shake no matter what, once they are placed on the wall. I have a pull up bar which is placed on the wall like that so I have experienced that difference. So, if you plan of using this pull up bar, you should do your exercises in a very controlled manner (or slow eccentric) - this will prevent this pull up station from shaking too much. It can also shake if the screws are too loose. (mine are not) I will not say that the shaking of this pull up station is almost negligible but it is manageable. 2. The other thing is that the vertical bars which are connected to the base are not parallel to each other so it is harder to change its height without applying some force to push the pull up bar down inside them and also pulling it up. I don't know if they knowingly made the base of this station like that or they didn't. 3. Its height should be little more. (atleast in my opinion) I can't pull up by keeping my legs straight on this pull up station when it is at its maximum height, i.e., 81.5 inches (or 6.791667 feet). I have to bend my knee (45 degrees which is a little too much) so that my feet do not touch the ground. My height is 5 feet 10 inches. 4. Price - if thats an issue for you. Then I would recommend you to buy a pull up bar which is placed on the wall because they are much cheaper than this station and hire someone or do it yourself to place it on the wall. (I have mentioned this earlier, above.)
