I fully expected it to be, as it is nothing more than a sheet of titanium. It is basically a more durable form of aluminum at this thickness, which is EXACTLY what I want for the purpose of weight savings and practicality. The edges are sharp, so be careful. To be honest I'm kinda shocked there are grown adults on here leaving bad reviews acting all suprised that thin sheets of metal are sharp... I trimmed it down in height with scissors by about a 1/4" so it could nest inside my Toaks 750ml pot (tall version) wrapped around my 450ml mug. I use a small paper clip to keep it wrapped around the stove when burning. It does the job it is intended to, which is to block the wind from an alcohol stove. One more note, this is NOT meant to be used with a cannister stove. They are only for liquid alcolhol stoves like a Trangia or dried alcohol like an Esbit cube. Do not ever wrap a heat shield around a cannister, as this will heat up the can and cause it to potentially explode. This is common knowledge in the backpacking world and I'm kinda shocked (again) to see so many people talking about using them for that.
