## Description

Developed jointly with Dedeco, the industry’s leading manufacturer of dental abrasive polishers, Staino has been able to blend ultra-fine white aluminum oxide abrasive particles in all their products. These cover everything from prophy cups to floss to interdental brushes to stain erasers. This technology helps Staino stand above the rest of the industry, and ensures their products are top-of-the-line that anyone can stand behind. Staino’s rubber polishing tooth stain eraser brings professional dental equipment home to you! This is the same technology that dentists have been using in their offices for years, and it’s now yours for at-home or travel use. The eraser has two unique rubber tips, each blended with Staino’s micro-fine aluminum oxide abrasion particles. One tip is bullet shaped for flat surfaces, and the other is pointed for between teeth. With this handy tool, you can safely remove stains for your teeth even without the need for paste.

Review: Works for Coffee Stains - I bought this in a last-ditch attempt to remove stubborn coffee stains from my teeth. I drink prodigious quantities of coffee, and I like it strong and black. The only downside (besides getting heartburn and having to take Prilosec on a regular basis) is that it leaves stains on my front teeth. I visit the dentist twice a year, and each time the hygienist spends about 30 minutes scraping them off. Within a month, however, new stains are already visible. I've tried many things to keep them at bay long enough to last until my next cleaning. I use whitening toothpastes (Crest 3D and Sensodyne Extra Whitening), which help some but not completely. I also bought a cheap dental scaler at the drugstore and tried scraping them off to no avail. Perhaps the stainless steel was not hard enough, or perhaps I wasn't using the right technique, but it just didn't work. That's when I came across this thing. I was skeptical, but for the price I thought I had nothing to lose. It actually worked, though with much effort. The tips are made of what appears to be a very hard, vulcanized rubber. They're firm and rigid, not soft or flexible at all. As the picture indicates, there are two tips: one broader, the other finer. When I first started using it, I rubbed and rubbed for about a minute or two and saw no results. I was actually about to call it quits when I thought I'd persevere a little longer. Voila--after a few minutes I noticed the stain I was working on appeared to be getting lighter. After about 5 minutes it was entirely gone. I then proceeded to remove several of the other more noticeable stains on my front teeth. I wasn't able to get deep in between my teeth because even the narrow tip is too large in diameter to reach those difficult places. Only a fine dental pick can do that. I'm happy, though, as I was able to remove the more visible and unsightly stains that were tarnishing my smile. My gums were a bit irritated when I finished because some of the stains were really close to the gum line, but that's unavoidable and even happens when I visit the hygienist. As I was rubbing, I also noticed a bluish color on my teeth, which I assume was from the rubber tip. It wasn't a problem, though--I just made sure to rinse frequently and not to swallow it in case there was anything toxic in it. This device won't remove stains that have been absorbed into the tooth enamel (only bleaching will do that), but if you're looking for something to remove stubborn surface stains, this is worth a try.
Review: Yes, it works. - So I was skeptical of this thing that "erases" tooth stains, but as a coffee drinker, I was starting to get self-conscious of the staining that was beginning to set in. And for how inexpensive the product is, I thought, "Why not?" Here's the deal. This product is a mild abrasive. I did some research and found out that in the long run under normal usage, you will be able to remineralize any minor abrasion caused by the use of the eraser either by natural means or by using a remineralizing mouthwash or toothpaste. Whew, that's a relief. I started getting to work the last few nights. There's two sides, one side for between teeth, and another side better for working on the flat surfaces. I worked on my top two teeth the first night for a few minutes, really getting in the cracks and have been repeating the routine for a few days now, going to different teeth and getting more spots I missed on the teeth I did already. This thing really did erase the staining beginning to form between my teeth and along my gum-line. I suppose you could do everything in one session, but it might take up to 200 strokes (I think I read that somewhere) to get everything off (and could be why one negative reviewer thought it didn't work). Breaking the task down really helped me make the task easier. So it works eventually, now here's some other stuff you need to know: If you have any sort of sensory issues with anything rubbing on your teeth, you might not be able to use it, depending on your tolerance level. I personally have this problem, but the abrasive action was not bothersome enough for me to not use the eraser. The texture is not "rubbery" like I thought it would be, it was more "gritty," but it was a fine enough grit for me to not be bothered by it thankfully. Also, as the negative reviewer stated, it does break down a bit and leave some debris on your teeth. This also really didn't bother me very much because when I'm done using the product, I can brush and if I need to, floss to get it out. I do imagine the contents of the eraser will wear out eventually, and be of no use, but I've been using mine for a few days and even though little bits rub off, They still look new, so I'm sure one would be able to clean their teeth before the whole thing wears down. So even with the couple mild negatives, it's not enough to remove a star. I liked the immediate results of using this eraser and would recommend this to anyone who would like whiter teeth between dentist visits.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: does it work effectively on tobacco stains?**
A: Yes. It will remove a tobacco stain. However, it will not change completely dis colored teeth back to white. It is excellent on surface stains. Including tobacco.

**Q: Would this work on a stain between my front teeth? Also, is there any sensitivity when/after using?**
A: It can get somewhat in between teeth depending on how you maneuver it. And I had no sensitivities after use. It basically just removes surface stains. I was a little nervous after I used it. I was so amazed by the results that not even whitening had achieved that I thought I had to have damaged the enamel. went for my 6 month visit dentist saw nothing wrong.

**Q: Can this be used to whiten the entire surface? My poor 10 year old brushes, flosses and uses a water pick but has lots of plaque and yellow teeth.**
A: This product is intended for use on extrinsic (i.e. surface) stains commonly caused by tobacco, coffee, tea, wine, cola and the like. This product does not address intrinsic (i.e. internal) stains. It is recommended to consult your dentist/pedodontist (pediatric dentist).

**Q: what makes the stain come off, do you use your usual toothpaste or is there a special something on the tips?**
A: I have no idea about the science... You just rub the appropriate tip against your tooth, no toothpaste required, and the stain goes away. It isn't abrasive, it's more like a Magic Eraser for your teeth

### ⭐ and when I say "barely" understand I mean like 5 seconds
*by A***N on September 1, 2017*

Well, I will say it started working ok, but I had literally, barely started using it, and when I say "barely" understand I mean like 5 seconds. The tip on the side that supposedly was built to go in between teeth just ... broke off. Now it's useless. It's said to be rubber. But there is no way rubber just breaks like thin glass. I guess you really do get what you pay for. But this ... I wish I could just get my money back and pretend this never happened. I would have been better off just using a toothpick. At least I would have known what I was getting. And to think you had reviewers saying things like "Oh my dentist recommended this". What BS
