The intention was to add it to my Alexa-enabled devices. You'll have to download and install a separate app first, to configure this thing. But once you do, the Alexa app finds it and adds it to the roster. So you can turn whatever you have plugged into it on or off remotely, via the app on your phone. Or, you can ask Alexa to do it - which is AWESOME. We have two of these controlling our back patio strings of lights. Note that each one of these outlet extension remotes sports TWO outlets. So you can plug two devices in at the same time. Very handy. Highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does exactly what it says it will do.
