## Description

Bosch centering device enables precise centering of router sub bases or templet (template) guides. Includes two parts. Simply insert pin in router collet chuck and place cone on pin. Finally, adjust sub base to be centered on the cone. For use with Bosch RA1161, RA1162, RA1166, 1617 series, 1618 series, 1619EVS, MRF01, MRP01, MRC23EVSK, MRP23EVS, MRF23EVS, PR009, PR010 and PR011.

Review: Works great. - Works as it should. Makes centering the base easy as long as you use it correctly. If you've never used one before, go watch a UTube video first. Steel pin that works in 1/4 and 1/2 collets. The cone is plastic and feels very durable. I like this sliding design. I find it much easier to use than the solid metal ones.
Review: Does the job. - Great for centering my router bases if I switch from the factory to ones I have made for specific applications.

**Q: Are there instructions that come with this centering cone?**
A: I found instructions for use in my 1617 router manual. I would bet if you have a Bosch router instructions are in the manual.

**Q: If I make my own base plate (6"x6" 1/4" lexan), then drill a hold at the center of the base plate, do I need to have this to center the collet?**
A: if you make a plate and attach it then run a bit up threw it then it will be centered on your collet, but if you remove the plate for any reason and if there is any slop on your mounting screws , then this tool is very useful to re align the plate. I have several plates and jigs that I swap out and this makes things allot simpler , especially if you use guid rings . ive also used this to center things on my drill press when I want to enlarge the hole. also this one is reversible so you can use it with a 1/4  or 1/2 " collet. . so to answer your question yes you can do it your way, but I recommend this tool , odds are there will come a time when you'll need it .. one final note, if you make your own plate make sure it is perfect because if you rotate the router at all when trying to make a dado you will change the position of the center, that is why some plates have a flat edge or are square , disregard if you are mounting this in a table
