Review: Solid bit of kit works like a charm - We’ve put this up in the back garden and honestly, I’m really pleased with it. The video quality is crystal clear in 2K you can actually make out details properly, even at night. The light comes on automatically with motion which is great for security, and also just handy when we’re letting the dog out after dark. It charges itself with the solar panel (no messing with wires or batteries), and the battery’s holding up well even through some dull UK weather. Setup was super easy with the app, and I love that there’s no monthly fees. One of those things you forget is even there… until it catches something!
Review: Who goes there? - Working well so far, excellent picture both day and night (with a choice of resolutions and the option of infra red at night) and good detection which you can set to detect either all movement or just human movement. Easy to install, 3 screws to hold the plastic mounting plate to the surface and a fourth (fiddly!) tiny screw to secure the light once it’s clipped onto the plate. Solar charging has been fine so far with some sunny and dull days but you need to mount it where it will receive maximum light otherwise it would probably struggle to charge. The app you use to view footage is excellent and also shows information regarding current state of charge and the charging rate day by day. Did I mention the light? You can adjust its brightness but can’t set it to come on at certain times or for set periods. It just comes on at dusk when movement is detected or you can turn it on and off manually via the app. All in all an excellent bit of kit.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Camera Let Down by Weak Bracket Design

I’ve installed multiple Eufy S120 cameras and overall the camera itself works well – good image quality, solar charging is convenient, and setup is straightforward. However, there is a significant issue with the mounting brackets. In my experience, the brackets are not durable enough for repeated removal. If you need to take the camera down (for charging, repositioning, or maintenance), the bracket can weaken or break over time. In my case, I’ve had multiple bracket failures across several units, and two had to be permanently fixed in place as a workaround, which isn’t ideal. Eufy have acknowledged the issue and advised that a revised bracket design is being tested, but there’s no clear timeline for when this will be available. So while the camera itself is good, just be aware that the current bracket design may not hold up well if you need to remove and refit the camera regularly.
