I installed it myself, and its quite tricky because the hardware takes a big chunk of the box, and there are 7 wires thick wires to connect in very little space left (3 from the mains, 3 to the boiler, plus 1 extra earth to the box). The device has three entry points very close to each other, so you need to be very very careful, and do a neat and tidy installation. I get the feeling whoever reported the device burning maybe failed here.Once this is done, and it works... This device is a breeze. In 3 months it gave me no problems at all. I was concerned maybe I had to reconfigure the wifi or something like other smart home devices I have as light bulbs, but not at all, its been working perfectly since day one.The app is ok, the touch controls are good. You can use 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or a custom length of time of your choosing. In Winter I will schedule it, which I haven't tried yet.I cant fault it on any way after this testing period. I just hope I don't jinx now it after the positive review. ### ⭐ Unreliable and poor smart home integration *by P***L on 1 August 2024* The switch is phyically well made, however the software is aweful and unreliable.I bought two of these as my hot water cylinder is fitted with two 16amp emersions. I setup the first one ok and connected it to the WiFi, and could see its IP address on my router. The second switch however connects to the first switch over the wifi using a proprietary mesh protocol, meaning it doesn't get its own ip address and has no direct Internet connection. So what's the problem with this, probably nothing if it was reliable but the first switch keeps loosing it's Internet connection and when it does this all of the other switches in its proprietary network become inaccessible too, such that I can't turn either of the emersions on from the app.The second issue is that there is no 'Matter' support or integration with smart home systems such as home assistant.
