I have various medical conditions, which are too boring to go into, but it resulted in me developing a leg ulcer. I was advised by my GPs practice nurses to wear them all day and only take them off at night. I am a 55 year old man so if your situation is different and, if your not sure i can only advise you to seek medical advice. Ps they seem to have worked on my ulcer. It was hard enough getting them onto the bracket. Wearing under trousers isn't an issue. Wish there were some that had more "natural" fabrics in like cotton or wool, but still with good compression, as nylon is cold in the winter (need to wear wool socks on top for warmth). And it would be great if they had some designs in them so it wasn't obvious you were wearing "old folks" compression socks.
