They work, don't get me wrong, but I have big hands and these things are tiny. I bought the red and blue handled Knoweasy JST Crimper and the Qibaok Dupont Crimping Tool Ratcheting Crimper. They each have their benefits, but it's still a matter of getting those tiny pins into the crimper, then setting the wire in. (Definitely in that order) The Qiabok has a nice explanation of how to crimp them. I used these when I was putting a Dell Micro PC inside a classic XBox case as a retro gaming machine. I connected the Xbox case's original gaming controller ports to the USB Ports and needed JUST a little more room. So I made the two inline connectors to add just a little more length. This set has a good selection of pin counts and quantities. I can find zero kits containing male and female 6-pin JST-SM 2.0 connectors, so I decided instead to build harnesses I can insert between the motherboard and the current motor harnesses. Those harnesses terminate in male 4-pin JST-XH2.54 connectors. This is the only kit I can find on Amazon, containing pinnable female XH2.54 connectors. Every other kit contains only pinned header versions of these connectors, which I found to be infuriatingly frustrating. The price of this kit seems a little high compared with those other kits. Hopefully, this one kit will last me for a while.
