I want this just incase my mount fails outside the car** A: They are extremely sticky, they will stick to most clean surfaces including painted car body work. I've taken them to 165mph on a bike and they've stayed on for 2+ years rain and shine. I've not tried removing them but with care and acetone you might save the paint but hauling them off is likely to take paint with it.
