It is just underwhelming to say the least, for some reason I was expecting something with a little more substance to it. I ordered the plain metal one and love it. I use it with Blackwing 602 pencils which are the greatest pencils every created (search them up - people are crazy in a good way about the these pencils). I purchased this cap and also an extender for the Blackwings. The pencils are expensive but worth every penny. with the cap and the extender let me get every inch of use out of the pencil with perfect balance.
