Review: Nicholas Nickleby DVD by the BBC - Very good. I'm not a Dickens expert or aficionado but this DVD chimed well with the book, which I have just finished listening to. Some bits, naturally, had to be left out, but by and large this was a good representation of the book.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nicholas Nickleby DVD.

A most enjoyable DVD, because although elements of the story are, of necessity, omitted, there is fine acting which reflects Dickens' characters well. The scenes reflect clearly the drabness of what, for many, was the harsh reality of Victorian England. It is not to be recommended for those who like bombs, high speed car chases and explosions every five minutes. However,for those who prefer the variety of character development and a glimpse of a broad spectrum of humanity, it is well worthwhile.
