The device measures approximately 10 mm from the bottom of the measuring opening through fingertip. - no long nails, - a medium-sized man's finger is OK. The measurement could also be made by little finger or ring finger, making the result look 1-2% unit higher **Q: Does the health manager app give real time readings from the device or does it require a periodic sync?** A: Periodic sync... daily **Q: Does it send data in real time to the "beurer health manager" and allow alarms to be configured so that carer can be alerted to low 02 and/or hr?** A: Hi, sorry but the PO60 is able to store up to 100 values but they need to be transferred to the app after measurement therefore the time would be out. Unfortuantely it does not have an alert either. However, our PO80 is able to do what you asked for. It does have an alert where you can set the value by yourself and it can show the current measurement on PC software. Hope this information helps. It is about 5 times more expensive than similar models, but you are paying much more for the app data.
