I've never tasted a white chocolate chip that actually tasted like chocolate until that day. To make sure it wasn't just I that noticed the difference, I conducted a blind tasting with my family. We all agreed that Artisan Kettle white chocolate chips should not be compared to those packages containing lumps of lard and sugar made by the bigger brands. The actual chocolate taste will positively affect whatever it is used in. Secondly, they're nut free. Definitely a big deal if you have a nut allergy. I struggle to find foods (especially snacks and candy) without a "made in facility/on shared equipment that also processes tree nuts" label. Chocolate is always the biggest offender. I've had to resort to making most sweets myself but certain things I've had to do without because I couldn't find a decent substitute. Now I won't have to struggle with looking for cocoa butter that isn't processed with nuts to make my own white chocolate.
