I searched long and hard, and bought several other cabinet locks before finding this one. All the others required screws and other hardware, and as I'm renting, I didn't want to put a bunch of holes in the cabinetry. This product is great, as it requires no hardware, and it applied via 3M adhesive pads.The only downsides are that it doesn't exactly prevent the cabinets from being opened at all, instead it allows them to be slightly cracked open, but stops them after about an inch or two. However, this was enough to deter our cats from exploring. The other problem is that after just 2-3 months, one of the adhesive pads lost its adhesiveness, causing the lock to fall off onto one cabinet door. Luckily we still have a couple spare locks; hopefully they last a little longer than 3 months. ### ⭐⭐⭐ My son : Cabinet locks - 1 : 0 *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 3, 2018* I was looking specifically for this type of locks thinking that this design/idea is most secure and convenient to use.Yes, it's very convenient to use, easy to install, looks nice.BUT, my 18 months son snatched them off, all of them from every cabinet door.If you can see the image I have replaced them with a different style.Funny story: I leave in an apartment and the maintenance guy came to fix plumbing issue when nobody was at home. Unfortunately I was only able to use one on my pantry door and not able to use on the cabinets they were purchased for. I wasn’t thinking when I bought them and my cabinets have beveled edges which they do not work on and also they are only good if the doors touch each other or have a very small gap.
