It was not the fault of the seller so it should be changed. The item itself worked ok. It installed fairly quickly in a windows 10 computer. There were quite a few reviews that claimed the drive failed to read disks. I purchased this item in order to be able to create files that I could use on an old computer that can not be upgraded. I had mixed results using various disks- as I noted others experienced. Many of the disks were not readable in the device. What I determined was that the disks are old and were not readable in this device OR in the original equipment. Those that I was able to read in the old computer, I could also read in this device. Those that I could not read in this device, I also could not read in the old computer. Unfortunately many of the old disks were not readable in either device but it is not the fault of this drive.
