Review: Keeps Deviled Eggs Much Longer - Zwilling tells you that this is air-tight without sealing. I sealed (sucked the air out) anyway and it was VERY, VERY hard to get the lid off. There is an appeal in sealing it because you're pulling the oxygen out of there and that's what helps to keep your food fresh. I bought 2 of them for deviled eggs storage. Deviled eggs are a bit of a pain to make and I wanted them to last longer than 4 days (which is the limit that you should keep deviled eggs) They were gone in about 8-10 days and still perfectly fresh. The thin chives I had on top were still green and fresh. I did use the Zwilling wand to suck the air out and just put up with the struggle to get it open.. So, now I'm able to make more of them at once because they last longer.

I tried several times to reseal and none of them held for more than a day or two. Different stuff in them, too. I picked up a small container full of rice by the lid and it held long enough to get it out of the cabinet. Then it fell all over my floor. Wasted a whole 1/2 lb of rice and the money for the container. And Zwilling’s rules to return stuff are ridiculous -must me in the original container, unused. How would I know if they didn’t work if I hadn’t tried not tried to use it and how can you be expected to keep ALL of the packaging for everything you get from desertcart. Do not waste your money on their containers. The bags are OK, but Food Saver works just as well for a lot less money.

**Q: What are the dimensions of each container?**
A: So that u know… I purchased over $350 in these containers. Every one of them could not keep a vacuume seal. I have discovered that the silicone “plug” is primarily at fault and is defective. You cannot even buy a replacement plug from them. The “plug” is the round stopper piece that is positioned on the center of the lid. I am sending all of these back. Please think twice.

Zwilling tells you that this is air-tight without sealing. I sealed (sucked the air out) anyway and it was VERY, VERY hard to get the lid off. There is an appeal in sealing it because you're pulling the oxygen out of there and that's what helps to keep your food fresh. I bought 2 of them for deviled eggs storage. Deviled eggs are a bit of a pain to make and I wanted them to last longer than 4 days (which is the limit that you should keep deviled eggs) They were gone in about 8-10 days and still perfectly fresh. The thin chives I had on top were still green and fresh. I did use the Zwilling wand to suck the air out and just put up with the struggle to get it open.. So, now I'm able to make more of them at once because they last longer.

I was skeptical because I have foodsaver, mason jars, mason vacuum sealers, oxo pantry container. The willing ecosystem is cheap. That’s because it’s total quality and the ecosystem is broader than anyone else. All shapes and sizes from bags, to bowls, to glass, stainless and glass. Whatever your speed. I live the convenience of the unit, stays on my counter in replaced all my other containers once I experienced the quality. This particular product surprised me as well. It’s like 3x thicker than my oxo. I mean this is seriously constructed. I’m at more but getting more. Some of my oxo containers are cracking, I don’t see that happening with these.
