But there are other problems with this hardware. It worked fine on my phone for like a few weeks then the screen no longer responded to touch. I got another one for $40 which was a whole lot better and easier to install because fewer parts needed to be transferred from old screen to new screen. Skip this one. **Q: After installation the screen looks blue, how can I solve this and what is the cause?** A: My screen looked just fine, albeit a bit darker than the original. **Q: I installed the screen and the touch id is not working anymore, any clue why?** A: You need to install the original home button that came on the device. Apple programmed it like that for security reasons. **Q: Is original part?** A: sorry, not original, oem part. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfect and great value, BUT you MUST transfer the home button from your old screen *by on Reviewed in the United States 8 January 2021* I still have my old iPhone 5s as basically a kids toy for my 2 yo. Well she dropped it one too many times and the screen didn't crack but was not displaying properly. So I decided to order this and try replacing the screen myself. The process is actually pretty easy but I'm experienced with taking apart electronics so it maybe a bit intimidating for a novice or first timer. The tool kit was perfect and had every tool you need to perform this fix. After I got it installed it works like a charm perfectly fits and now my 2 yo has their phone back with a working screen. IMPORTANT: You MUST transfer your old home button from your old screen to the new screen otherwise your phone will not boot. I learned this the hard way by not reading the description or the instructions. So after I transferred the home button (again relatively easy) it booted up perfectly!PROS: Fits perfect just looks just like the OEM screen, really inexpensive and great value considering it comes with all the tools you need AND a screen protector.NEGATIVES: The screen isn't the most durable I just tried to clean it with a microfiber towel and it ended up with a few micro scratches right off the bat so you'll for sure need to put the screen protector on. The instructions it comes with is has tiny print and pictures and are basically not worth it. Just go to YouTube and teach for "iFixit iPhone 5s Screen replacement" and it give you pretty good 5 min video on how to do it including the home button swap.Overall great product works well and awesome value especially for this old of a phone to keep it going for a couple more years. Would def recommend to anyone who needs to replace an iPhone 5s screen. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A friendly reminder before buying this... *by on Reviewed in Canada 8 April 2026* Its mentioned that this screen does NOT come with a camera, earpiece or sensors. So you MUST swap these over from the old screen. Right off the bat that is not an easy job. You must have proper tools, tweezers, good lighting and a heck of a lot of patience and steady hands to do this. You can destroy the phone in seconds if you make a mistake. There are other listings for screens with the components which are more expensive but at least would be a bit more "plug and play".... But the screen does work good. Consider swapping the phone battery at the same time you do this job. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It’s ok *by on Reviewed in Canada 10 August 2026* Not as bright as the original screen, but it works. For the price, not bad. ## Frequently Bought Together - Brinonac for iPhone 5s/SE 2016 Screen Replacement Black Touch Display LCD Digitizer Full Assembly Including Repair Tool and Screen Protector - Smartex® Black Label Battery compatible with iPhone 5S/5C - 1560 mAh | 2 Years Guarantee --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pe/products/539892266-brinonac-for-iphone-5s-se-screen-replacement-black-touch-display](https://www.desertcart.pe/products/539892266-brinonac-for-iphone-5s-se-screen-replacement-black-touch-display) --- *Product available on Desertcart Peru* *Store origin: PE* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
