This book is an excellent primer for the would-be student. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great book, with a good structure and a light ... *by R***R on 4 November 2015* A great book, with a good structure and a light hearted tone. A story develops through the book as you follow a set of main characters, which is a lovely way to teach. However, one thing that started to grate on me early on and still winds me up now is the number of new words that are constantly introduced with no translation and no listing in the mini dictionary at the back of the book. I can understand this for obvious words very close to their English meaning, but plenty of obscure new words and even entire new sentences made of new words are thrown at the reader with every new dialogue, and one then has no alternative but to use a Norwegian dictionary or an online translator and decipher the sentences word by word. The result of this is that progress is rather slow and it limits the CD's use in the car or when away from a dictionary or internet, such as on a plane.
