My audio path is NUC USB out to an AudioQuest Dragonfly Red, and from there directly to my power amplifiers. The only problem I had with this ground loop interrupter is that the back of the NUC is crowded, and the broad "shoulders" of this device prevented me from plugging it directly into the NUC (physical interference). My solution was to plug in another device that would fit. So my signal chain is now: AudioQuest Jitterbug (plugged directly into the NUC) + this ADUM isolater (plugged into the Jitterbug + AudioQuest Dragonfly Red (plugged into the isolator) + 1/8" analog stereo plug to dual RCA outputs (plugged into the Dragonfly). And before anyone jumps on me, yes - I've read the reports saying that the Jitterbug does nothing. This device solved the ground loop noise problem in my PC desktop 2.1 sound setup. My setup before: PC (3 prong) -> Qudelix-5K Usb DAC -> Pre-amp (2 prong) -> Power-amp (2 prong) -> 8"SUB (3 prong) *Ground loop issue presents when the 3 prong plug SUB is connected. After adding this Usb isolator. I have no more static noise thru the SPEAKERS when no sound is being played. And best part is that high-pitched noise thru the SPEAKERS when GPU is under load is gone. I tested the bass response before and after. I did not hear any difference. I use a low power portable DAC in my setup.
