The heat it bills up is a bit troubling, so be sure to unplug it when not being used. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big improvement over the LeapV1 *by G***R on February 18, 2025* Having owned it for about a year now, it's certainly a big upgrade over the original Leap V1. It features a much wider FoV and seems to have better means of detecting where your hands are. It's also more power efficient, using a standard USB C connection, and does not get quite as warm. The setup process is about the same, easy enough. It's a straight upgrade from the old Leap V1 in every single way that matters. Whether it's worth it or not depends entirely what you're using it for. As a hobbyist vtuber using a 3D model, I'd say the added body language from hand-tracking definitely makes streaming more fun, allowing me to be more expressive. It's tremendously better than alternative hand-tracking methods for that purpose. That said, it still does have its quirks and hiccups. For best results, make sure your space is well lit, and there aren't any items nearby that could be confused for your hands.
