We purchased these to try with the theory that if they didn't work or hold up at least they weren't that expensive. When I initially opened the package I was impressed with the quality of these, they're without a doubt as good quality as the originals. They're the same size as the originals so they fit our coffeemaker without an issue. We've been using the first one for about a week now and I'm very happy with how it's holding up. I'm tempted to say it's actually showing less wear than the Mr. Coffee version would at this point. Put your plastic drip basket in the coffee maker, drop in a coffee filter; & fill with your chosen amount of coffee;2. Fill the water reservoir w the appropriate amount of water.3. Before you close up the maker, place one of these filters btwn the top of the dry coffee grounds & the hot water siphon/spigot, so that the hot water goes thru the filter b4 it hits the coffee. The filter should be the same diameter as the basket, such that filter ever touches the grounds.You’ll be surprised at all the “crap” the filter will catch (mostly old coffee grounds that somehow ended up in the reservoir, but other “junk,” too). You can clean & reuse the filters if you want, or discard them after each use.
