Review: Good Buy. - Excellent Product, functions as it should. Review: Product Was Broken and Inoperable - I had to do significant repairs on this unit to get it to even function. It was advertised as “used” in the original box by desertcart. It looked more like an item returned to desertcart because of significant shipping damage. The unit had been dropped very hard on the compressor side. The metal frame on that side was curled up and misshapen due to the fall. The shroud was cracked on one of the read corners with a chuck of plastic broken off where the mounting screw goes. Because we travel full time, I could not wait for another unit. So I straightened the metal frame as best as I could and superglued the shroud back together. After installation I discovered more serious damage. The squirrel cage fan that blows into the RV was bent out of round, jammed into the plastic fan cowling. Probably from the force of the drop. The fans are delicate. The motor could not even turn. I had to disassemble and detach the motor in order to get the squirrel cage fan off. Then I purchased a new fan from Panther RV products (not through desertcart) for $110 to finish fixing the unit. It now works as it should after spending more money and FIVE hours of labor, but the unit should have NEVER been sold as a working unit. Just verified the dip switches to make sure they were correct and installed to connections on my RV. We were upgrading from a 13.5k to 15k to help offer a better output for our RV.
